The new beer bottle was selected and carefully masked to separate it from the background. The original beer bottle in the hand was removed from the image, leaving the hand itself ready for the replacement element. To create a natural and realistic appearance, the replacement of the beer bottle underwent adjustments in perspective and lighting to align with the scene's conditions, ensuring it appeared as though it was part of the original image.

Further refinements were made to blend the hand, the new beer bottle, and their surroundings, paying attention to subtle details such as reflections and shadows. The image received color grading to harmonize the elements and achieve a cohesive, visually pleasing aesthetic.

Personal considerations:

On this edited product lots of color grading layers have been added in order to give the same feeling of the original photo. The main challenge for this one was to convincingly turn off the high contrast and saturation of the new bottle in order to match the original. The photo has been mirrored to match the reflections on the bottle with the light conditions.

For this scene a basic 3D model of a kitchen has been created, where the only light sources are a dome_sky and a cylinder light. The scene has been rendered with Arnold.

The camera angle has been adjusted accordingly to match the one from the photos involved in the editing process.

The two objects have been carefully masked and inserted into the 3D scene. They have been successively color graded and their highlights and darks have been adjusted to match the light conditions of the scene.

Further refinements were made to blend the bottle and the glass, paying attention to subtle details such as refractions, reflections and shadows.

Personal considerations:

Challenges faced during the editing process were mainly represented by the importance of giving the same appeareance to the two objects inside the digital image.

At first they appeared detached from the surroundings, until the addition of color grading and the shadow. To make the reflection of wine on the table I used a mix of different blending modes such as Multiply and Screen for the highlights.

Perfume Mirage

In this image, the editing process involved the skillful replacement of a perfume bottle and the creation of a realistic, blurred reflection on the surface of the table. The goal was to seamlessly integrate a new perfume bottle into the scene while adding an element of depth and realism through the reflection.

The original perfume bottle was carefully removed from the image, leaving the table's surface ready for the replacement element.

The replacement perfume bottle underwent perspective and lighting adjustments to match the scene's conditions.

To enhance realism, a blurred reflection of the new perfume bottle was created on the table's surface. This reflection was carefully crafted to mimic the surroundings and lighting conditions, adding depth and visual interest to the image.

Personal considerations:

I’ve found challenging the recreation of the perspective over the table reflection. To achieve a convincing effect I’ve manually recreated the part behind the bottle as well as part of the background in order to keep the product at the center of the image. The plane’s perspective has been slightly changed in order to blend with the bottle.

The original water flask was removed from the image, leaving the hand visible.

A new water flask, containing less water, was introduced into the composition. The flask was carefully aligned with the original position to ensure that it appeared natural in the hand.

The most critical aspect of the editing process was the reconstruction of the hand. The distortions caused by the original water were removed, and the hand's shape was adjusted to match the appearance it would have without the water distortion.

The image underwent color correction to ensure that the new flask and the reconstructed hand matched the original scene's lighting and color conditions.

Personal considerations:

The main challenge for this photo was to recreate a convincing hand without altering too much the original shape. The hand’s dark areas have been carefully repainted over to match the original light source.

The original serum bottle was removed from the image, leaving behind a gap on the rocks.

A new water bottle was introduced into the composition, its edges were meticulously blended with the rocky background to create a seamless and realistic appearance.

To simulate the distortion caused by water, the Liquify effect in Photoshop was utilized. This effect was selectively applied to the areas inside the water bottle, giving the impression of water interacting with the rocks and the bottle's surface.

The image underwent a color grading process to shift the overall mood. The original cold blue tones were transformed into a warmer orange tone, creating a different atmosphere and enhancing the visual impact.

Personal considerations:

The most challenging aspect of this photo was to keep the original light conditions of the scene while highlighting the displayed product. The balance has been achieved by simulating the light source on the bottle while enhancing the product’s logo.

The original whisky bottle was removed from the image, leaving behind a space on the pine needles. The rose wine bottle was introduced into the composition. Careful attention was paid to position it in a way that matched the perspective of the original whisky bottle.

To maintain the original depth of field, blur effects were applied. These effects were used to create a gradual shift in focus, ensuring that the rose wine bottle appeared to be part of the scene, with the foreground and background elements appropriately blurred.

The final image presents a convincing and artistically composed scene where the rose wine bottle seamlessly blends into the bed of pine needles and pine cones. This editing process successfully transforms the image while preserving the essence of the original composition, resulting in a visually striking and harmonious final product.

Personal considerations:

The main challenge for this edit was to maintain the perspective and depth of field in the photo. Also matching the light conditions of the scene with the reflections on the new bottle was a challenging process that involved color grading and curves effects to be achieved.
